The Oktoberfest in Munich - Over 200 years of tradition in the oldest and largest festival in the world!Wiesn 2012 - Oktoberfestband

Every year it's hot here at the Oktoberfest in Munich. The Oktoberfest in Munich is probably the most famous festival and Oktoberfest at all. Since 1810, here is the traditional Oktoberfest celebration. Basically, are or were Oktoberfests generally not uncommon. Because of course they had a purpose. It should, before a new beer that March beer could be brewed the old beer are consumed first.

The most famous Oktoberfest in Munich can look back on a 200 year old tradition. It came into being exactly 12 October 1810. On the occasion of the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese, banker and Major Andrew Michael Dall'Armi organized a horse race which took place on a meadow in front of Munich. Since the way is the Theresienwiese.

At that time, simply because the Crown Prince was a follower of ancient Greece, held the festival such as the Olympics and had to start more of a sporty character. And because the whole thing was so well with the people was this horse race repeated the same next year and thus began the tradition of the Munich Oktoberfest. Only with time, the Oktoberfest has developed into what it is today. Little by little, add carousels and beer tents.

Only towards the end of the 19th Century from the erstwhile horse racing became a popular festival that sort of thing is probably unique in the world. Meanwhile, every year more than 6 million people during the Oktoberfest. In a total of 14 large and 15 small beer tents of course there are a lot of beer and Oktoberfest bands with predominantly Bavarian music to entertain people.

But not only in Munich, there are now Oktoberfest. The concept Bavarian lederhosen, beer and Oktoberfest music also goes on elsewhere. In the meanwhile Oktoberfests in Brazil, America, Australia, Ireland and Japan.

Tromposaund - an Oktoberfest band from Bavaria in the traditional sense: Bavarian music, original costumes and tradition for a cozy atmosphere!

Tromposaund does not consider itself as quite typical Oktoberfest band. Our mainly Bavarian repertoire and the Bavarian national anthem "Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit" is every marquee whether brought big or small in the mood. And not only here in Germany or in Europe, but around the world. Our goal is to spread the Bavarian music as it really is. And that goes down well! Particularly Japanese and Chinese audiences and Americans appreciate the original appearance and sense of tradition and our Bavarian pieces. Humor comes at us through traditional and very well played music, less through loud and shrill party hits. We want to inspire with our music and joy! We also play without electricity (unplugged) to spread even among the people and atmosphere to wander from stage. Especially this allows us a sympathetic and sociable appearance along with our audience!

Some Americans even believe that we actually walk around all the time just in lederhosen, move us only with Schuhplattler and just talking through yodeling. That his is not true for all Bavarian should be clear to everyone. However, we are proud to say: "Yes, we have the lederhosen and often like to wear it!"

But even here in Germany are brought out more and more with the Oktoberfest home. Why all the way to Munich, when in Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt or Cologne can celebrate Oktoberfest. With Bavarian music in the luggage, a tent or small room and a Bavarian food comes quickly in the world of the Bavarian atmosphere when it is again: "Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit"! When we were in Amsterdam at a private birthday party at the time was also the motto of "Bavarian Evening". Many had their dirndls, lederhosen or their domestic garb and came to the party. Thus came naturally soon as a cue to the Oktoberfest and all have happy and entertaining celebrated with us!
